The forest has 2,512 hectares (6,207 acres) in size and was declared a nature reserve in the 1960′s. In 1993, the Jozani Forest was declared as a National Park and home the endemic Kirk’s Red Colobus monkey, blue (gray) Sykes’ monkey, chameleons, dik-dik antelopes, and wild pigs. During the guided walk, you will discover the secrets of this small tropical forest and the nearby mangrove forest.
